Abstract

An adaptive power control algorithm is proposed to maximize the sum rate of multiple interfering links under minimum rate constraints. The proposed algorithm efficiently minimizes the outage probability of total network system by using an iterative algorithm with complexity of O N2 ln N, where N is the number of interfering links. By Monte Carlo simulations, it is shown that the proposed algorithm guarantees the optimum outage probability and the system sum rate above 80 %, compared with the geometric programming (Chiang et al in IEEE Trans Wirel Commun 6(7):2640-2651, 2007).
