N2 - We demonstrate wavelength stabilization of Si micro-ring modulator (MRM) with an integrated circuit custom-designed in 0.25-μm BiCMOS technology. Our circuit controls the MRM temperature so that it can have the maximum optical modulation amplitude (OMA). It consists of trans-impedance amplifier, power detector, track-and-hold circuit, comparator, digital-to-analog converter, and synthesized digital controller. 25-Gb/s MRM modulation is achieved with the wavelength stabilization IC.
