Abstract
In conventional handover schemes, a user's signal strength is measured and averaged through whole signal bandwidth, and handover is performed based on it. However, to be an efficient handover scheme in OFDMA systems, signal strengths of subcarriers should be considered separately. That is, each subcarrier has a different handover position which is the place a handover occurs. Therefore the subcarrier oriented handover scheme is proposed. The proposed handover scheme can improve SIR performance of handover users.
