Abstract

Various shapes of TS-1 monolith made up only of zeolite were synthesized by using a hydrothermal method. Amorphous cogel samples were pelletized to various shapes and then crystallized in a hydrothermal reactor at 443 K. The amount of TPAOH and the crystallization condition play important roles in retaining the morphology of preformed cogel. Permeation tests of gases on the crystallized monolith indicate that the Knudsen mechanism dominates the permeation of gases.
