Abstract

A downlink beamforming method, which has common pilot channel for coherent detection and traffic channel for desired user, is proposed. To solve the phase mismatch between traffic and pilot signals at desired mobile, the proposed downlink beamforming method considers a cost function of SIR criteria which is solved by simplex downhill optimization method. The computer simulation showed that the proposed method gives seamless performance in tune-varying channels.
