행위자-네트워크이론의 적용: 주요 선거에서의 북한변수를 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to analyze how ahead of South Korean elections, issues concerning North Korea affect the outcome of elections, and further, utilizing a key concept of actor-network theory, ‘translation,’ determine the correlation between these two factors. In particular, this study focuses on the diversification of actors in the election process resulting from democratization and informationization. In major elections the influence of North Korean issues has changed since 1997, and furthermore, the effects of North Korean issues on the election results appear differently depending on the nature of the North Korean issues at hand. The results of the analysis into the background of this change effectuated through the steps of the translation process showed that factors such as distrust of the government, declining credibility of the media, people’s learning effect, and diversified media environment affected election results in combination.
