Abstract
Ni-based superalloys that are generally used as components of gas turbines have been developed to withstand mechanical loads in high temperature and extreme operating environments. The temperature must be maintained low because the life of the turbine component decreases rapidly as the temperature increases. In this study, thermophysical properties were measured and thermal conductivity was derived to analyze and study the thermodynamic properties of superalloy CMSX-4. Compared with previous studies, most of the difference was related to the microstructure, that was typically owing to heat treatment, and thermal history.
